We also scattered my dads ashes in the River Nene, as he spend many years on this river with his fishing boat. A fabulous place and a perfect day.

A fabulous day in York, looking at York Minster, The shambles, The shop with no name, The castle, The old gatehouse and the city Roman walls.

A quick trip up the motorway to Morecombe, to pick up some grandchildren.

Williamson park in Lancaster.

This park was constructed by millionaire James Williamson.  The focal point is the Ashton Memorial. Built between 1907 & 1909 at a cost of 80,000 pound (equivalent to 7.5 million pond in 2015).
