Saturday Day off - MUD & BUBBLES.
Mud & Bubbles is a spa treatment. Firstly we exfoliate with sand on the waters edge. Secondly we return to the shade and cover ourselves in soft mud from Jacks Creek. Thirdly we bake in the sun, until the mud is hard. Next we return to the shade and have an ice cold glass of bubbles or two!
Finally we wash all the mud off in the Ocean and talk about how soft our skin is!!

Not a bad place to be isolated.

Not to busy.

Eco Beach Resort is 120k South of Broome, Broome is very isolated and we are definitely even more isolated. We are in a safe place, the gates are locked at the top of the drive, which is 12klm long. This is a large resort in terms of area, yet is stunningly beautiful. We have a lot of wildlife, the stick insects are bigger than my feet, we have lots of frogs and the green ones are so cute. Goannas of all sizes, Banded Wallabies, often a camel is on/near our drive. We have not yet seen this camel. Snakes are in heaven here and we often see the black headed Python warming its self on the road, when we go home after dinner. Of course we have lots of the Brahman cattle, some ferrel Cats and Dingo's.
Pretty pink flowers on our drive.

A little History about Eco Beach Resort.
This is the land of the Yawuru people, where the outback meets the Indian Ocean at Cape Villaret. In 1993 Karl Plunkett a Broome based builder fell in love with the area and hence build an Eco resort.
One of its kind, the original Cabin.
Eco Beach was destroyed when cyclone Rosita category 5 decimated the retreat April 19th 2000. It was the most intense cyclone to hit the Kimberley's in over 100 years.
The staff village 10 x Eco tents.
We have 18 chickens, that are all free range, whilst we are closed. They always chase the buggy in hope of a fed.
Its very difficult to get a good picture of a Dragon Fly!
They are so like a helicopter.
