UK Trip Part 4. Lake District Holiday.

We had a week in the Lake District, with 3 caravans full of us, a great time was had by all, particularly the Grand children.
We had a day out at Lake Windermere, The Zoo, Ducky's Farm, Cartmel with Patrick & Janet
Lots of walks, swims, time on the boating Lake, play areas, flying kites, ball games and fun in the club house.
Lake Windermere is England's longest Lake at 10.5 miles long. Size 566,400 Acres & has over ten mountains in the area above 2917 feet high.  Lake Windermere receives 15.5 million visitors each year.

Cartmel Priory dates back from around the twelve century, all records were lost in 1537.  In 1620 major restoration took place and today the Priory still continues to evolve & thrive.
