Canada Tour. Prince George to Kamloops (Aprrox 630 klm)

The weather has been a bit fresh the last couple of days, it was only 11 degrees this morning, as we left Prince George behind. We took the Yellowhead Highway South (Route 16). The topography was amazing, rivers, creeks, Lakes, huge valleys. The Rocky Mountains on our left and the Cariboo Mountains on our right. We had coffee at McBride and lunch at the Blue River Heli ski resort.
Just after Blue River, we saw another black bear and spend a good while watching it.
On to Kamloops (temp 25 degrees), which has been used for an evacuation centre for all the evacuees (Over 4000) from the bush fires. The latest update today was 161 wild fires burning. Its incredible that Canada has over 200 aircraft to help and yet in South Australia, we have no aircraft of our own. Maybe 2 or 3 would come from NSW to help.
Kamloops is a very busy little city and has a huge rail net works, which seem to be the heart of the city. We take a wander to look for somewhere for dinner, crossing a very scenic foot bridge over the rail tracks. After dinner, we head down to the River/Lake, where kids are swimming in the water (Looks very cold). We see the Rocky Mountain Train (Navy & Gold), leaving Kamloops, heading over the bridges, mountains in the back ground and water in the fore ground, this would have made an amazing picture, had we taken the camera or phones.(Silly us). We stroll threw the pretty park and they have a band on, very nice.
