Canada Tour - Vancouver. (Horse Drawn Tour)

Next we take a stroll to Stanley park. Stanley Park is 405 hectare (1,001 acre's) public park, that borders downtown Vancouver. It was created in 1888.The park attracts more than 8 million visitor's annually.  The park was named after Lord Stanley, 16th Earl of Derby, a British politician who had recently been appointed Governor General.
Well, actually my plan was not to walk the park, but to do the Horse drawn tram and guess what $42 each and we are on the tram!

Clip Clopping threw the Park!

The Majestic Totem Pole's.

On Stanley Park Drive.

The natural beauty of Stanley Park.

Harry Jerome Statue.

The girl in a wetsuit Statue. (Tides in Vancouver are normally between 3ft - 6ft).

Pretty cottage.

The rose gardens. The smell was lovely.

Robert Burn's statue. (The Scottish poet).

We meandered through the park, taking in the sights of Deadman's Island, Vancouver harbour, The Lion's Gate Bridge, Lost Lagoon and all to the smell of fresh Cedar trees and the sea. A great way to spend an hour and learn some of the local history.
