WA to SA - 2235klms. Homeward Bound.

We leave Esperance behind, of course its blowing a gale and head wind. We make a couple of fuel stops and camp in the bush about 20k west of Maduru Pass.
Now Maduru pass is a stunning area and the pictures do not do it justice. Steve & I both think it is so much like the African Plain's! It was very lush & green on an over cast day.
Because the border is still closed into WA, the traffic was trucks, trucks and more trucks, Oh - and then there was us! Beautiful drive!! We also had a 2nd night camped in the bush - somewhere!! lol

Maduru Pass.

Sand dunes & sea.

Very petite!

We stopped at Eucla for fuel and the very friendly manager, told us to take a stroll and enjoy the views.

Time changes.

The beast & Whale!

Border control WA to SA.

We are now entering our home state!

Border control is very different during covid 19 and border lock downs. Many truck drivers do not cross the border, they drop trailers and others pick them up.

Can't beat these signs.

Arrrhhh.... Flinders Ranges nearly home.

Harvest on the Eyre Peninsular.

We arrive in the Barossa, we take a quick stop in Wilmington, before carrying on to visit friends in  Nuriootpa.

Very healthy looking vines.

A trip to The Louise (Luxury Lodge) to meet friends, this was an amazing treat and great to catch up with our American friends. Prior to the Louise, we also had lunch at the chocolate factory.

Jenny & I enjoying a night cap.

Jenny & Steve.

Brilliant Brandon shaking it up behind the Bar.
