 Blackall

The Blackall Woolscour operated from 1908 until 1978. The mill is one of four built and is the only remaining mill of its kind in the world.  Woolscour means wool washing. This is the only steam driven scour. (This still works from May to the end of August).  The woolscour is situated next to an artesian, free flowing bore which supplied ample hot water for scouring.  Steve loved all the machinery and I loved the rest!!
